Cockshutt Cottage At Westley Farm

Frampton Mansell, Stroud, Gloucestershire, Countryside

Cockshutt Cottage is a blissful Cotswold stone self-catering holiday cottage on a hill farm in the breathtaking Gloucestershire countryside. Nestled at the head of the Golden Valley, Westley Farm is one of the Cotswolds’ best-kept secrets with 70 acres of ancient woodland and rolling pasture. Set on the farm drive, surrounded by fields with sheep grazing and deer roaming, Cockshutt Cottage is the perfect hideaway for singles, couples, families and friends – pets are welcome too. You will see sheep, cattle and ponies grazing, chickens clucking in the farmyard, and deer and badgers roaming through the land. In the summer you may see wild orchids and rare butterflies in the wildflower meadow.

With glorious views, utter seclusion and fantastic pubs just a walk away, the cottage is within reach of the gems of the Cotswold such as Bibury and Bourton on the Water, while Tetbury, Cirencester, Stroud, Bristol and Bath are close. This is a big foodie area, with the nation’s finest farmers’ market at Stroud, four miles away, as well as a fantastic deli and dairy nearby, and traditional Cotswold pubs serving fantastic food. There are amazing walks, starting and finishing on the farm, or along the canal at the bottom of the woods, while the more serious can tackle the Cotswold Way.

Converted from an old Cotswold stone barn, with a flower garden to one side and rolling hills to the other, Cockshutt Cottage is a world of its own. You’re on the farm but far enough away from the farmyard to have lots of privacy. With flagstone floors and an open fire, Cockshutt Cottage is the perfect getaway.
