The Devon County Show is the biggest (and best!) event in the county calendar and is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing day out sampling the many wonders of the local countryside.

New Alnmouth to Alnwick Rail Line Northumberland- 14th July
Up until the 1960s a branch railway ran from Alnmouth Station into the centre of Alnwick and the building that today houses the famous Barter Books. This line followed the course of the River Aln and a line of trees that grew up along the track means that you can just pick-out the route from the picture window in The Summerhouse.
