Outside Description

Courtyard Garden Accessed from the sun room is a peaceful patio courtyard with dining space for 8. The sun is best here in the afternoon through to evening as it faces in a westerly direction. The courtyard is adjacent to the courtyard of The Sewing Room, divided by a low sandstone wall and rope fencing. The courtyards have an adjoining gate intended to link the areas when both properties are booked together. The pretty courtyard makes this property very special, and is ideal for al-fresco dining.

Downstairs Description

Dining Kitchen This gorgeous room features the original arched windows, one of which plays homage to the original carriageway of the building many years ago.

The extending oak dining table to seat 8 .

Sun Room Aptly named, this peaceful room overlooks the pretty courtyard.

Lounge Situated facing the main street and from the hallway, the lounge is a large room with a cosy and warm feel. The gas-fired ‘wood-burning effect’ stove is the focal point of the room and there is seating for up to 8 guests.

Utility Room

Ground Floor Bedroom with en-suite Leading from the hallway down two shallow steps, this bedroom contains a double-size bed (4ft 6″ wide) The en-suite features a large, walk-in shower with rainfall shower head and attachment.

The family bathroom contains a rainfall shower over the bath with attachment,

Bedroom 1 with en suite The spectacular oriel window offering views of the sun shining over the sea, beach and dunes.

With a king size bed (5ft wide) and an ensuite with original Belfast basin, a walk-in shower with rainfall shower head.

Bedroom 2 with en suite Offering twin single beds or a super-king size bed when booking (3ft wide beds/6ft wide bed)

Bedroom 3 This is the largest bedroom of all and has a huge sash window.

Other Notes

Whilst there is no designated parking for The Carriage House, there is space for one car across the old carriage gates. There is a public on-street parking bay outside The Carriage House, as well as a disabled parking space, but the village operates on a first-come basis. In high season it can get busy – there is free parking right up the main street of the village and down towards the golf course, as well as along the dunes.
