All 8 self-catering cottages are unique and set around a delightful enclosed courtyard, each has its own outdoor seating area to relax, dine al fresco and and gaze at the beautifully clear night sky whilst enjoying a glass of wine, making friends is easy in this peaceful haven. The village pub has homemade food and is just a 5 minute walk, sit with a local beer and the friendly locals will chat to you for hours. Being entertained in the paddock by feeding our alpacas is a great way to pass the time here too! Free WiFi is available throughout the complex.
Barley was brought over to the UK by the Vikings in the 9th century. ‘Bere’ actually means Barley in Latin so the fields surrounding the farmhouse would have been barley fields. If you look carefully at the church tower you will see a Viking ship engraved in the stone.
