Welcome to Bacton and Seaview Beach Houses

Bacton beach house is a delightful timber framed, ship-lap clad chalet in a breathtaking location, situated feet from one of the finest beaches in the country at the southernmost tip of a horseshoe of buildings arranged around a green on the edge of Bacton village on the Norfolk coast.

Seaview Beach House is situated at the northernmost tip of the horseshoe and boasts an even wider panorama and a larger garden area.

The area boasts miles of sandy beaches, excellent walking and nature trails and, of course is close to the famous Broads with all their boating heritage and activities. The north Norfolk Coast is renowned for it's birdwatching with several RSPB reserves within easy reach.

The terrain is excellent for cycling too with many roads dedicated as 'Quiet Lanes' to preserve the rural character and encourage cyclists, walkers and horse riders. There are a wealth of historic Churches and Windmills in the local area. Nearby Bacton Wood provides shaded walks and outdoor events throughout the year.

The picturesque resort town of Cromer is a short drive north and the larger seaside resort of Great Yarmouth and the County Town of Norwich are easily accessible for day excursions. You will find a comprehensive collection of leaflets in the chalet covering Walks, boating on the Broads, Wildlife Gardens, Nature reserves, The Amazona Zoo and all manner of activities plus Ordnance Survey Maps of the local area. The famous Happisburgh Lighthouse ( pronounced Hayesboro' ! ) is three miles south along the coast path next to a traditional pub serving a selection of ales and quality food.

A 10 minute walk along the same path will bring you to the promenade at Wallcot where there is a humble but excellent café serving huge English breakfasts and rich capuccinos. Next door is the best traditional Fish and Chip shop for miles around. Within the same parade is a compact but fully stocked grocery shop with a Post Office and Cash machine. More comprehensive provisions shopping is found in the Market towns of nearby North Walsham and Stalham.

More than enough then to occupy the most demanding visitor or you could just sit on the verandah, glass in hand, and watch the ever changing sea view or the kids playing on the sand below and listen to the sound of the waves on the shore.
