Downstairs Description

Open plan lounge with sofa and easy chairs; dining area with large table seating 6; snug with easy chair, Books, games etc; Fitted kitchen. Underfloor heating throughout plus open fire. Guests can access wifi, but no TV, radio etc provided. Stairs lead up from lounge.

First Floor Description

Large main bedroom with king size bed, underfloor heating; small en suite bathroom (bath tub and wash basin). An extra bed (charged) can be provided on request; cot and high chair (no charge) by request. Second bedroom with two single beds, radiators. Large family bathroom (4 piece), and separate WC with wash basin and shaver point.

Windows Views Description

To the front (east - lounge, dining and both bedrooms) views are up the street - great for people-watching. To the side (north - snug) is a former shop window, now obscured for privacy. Second bedroom has windows on the north overlooking Ruthin Gaol (visitor attraction).

Other Notes

Porth y Dwr is a grade II* listed building, of historic importance. Guests are requested to be aware of its limitations, and the fragility of parts of the structure. Sorry Porth y Dwr may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility, and children should be supervised at all times. There are no TV, radio, music centre or games consoles. No dedicated parking: 2 public long-stay car parks within 100 metres (free parking permit provided for one car). Porth y Dwr is a no smoking cottage inside and outside
