The garden is private and enclosed and benefits from a patio and garden furniture. There is off-road parking for two cars directly outside the property, there is also a garage with parking for another car (but not suitable if your car is low to the ground as it has a steep approach).
Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen with dining area, this is an extension to the original cottage and benefits from underfloor heating beneath the flagstones. There is a sitting room with an efficient wood-burner for topping up the heat and keeping cosy on cooler evenings, plus a further ‘snug’ with open-fire. There is also a downstairs bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin. The kitchen is fitted with range cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A variety of books, games and jigsaws are provided for your amusement.

Windows Views Description
The rear of the property looks out over the gardens and patio area with garden furniture. The windows to the front of the property look out over the river which runs down the valley to the packhorse bridge at Malmsmead, and the country road.
Poocks Cottage is an ideal property to ‘get away from it all’ as it’s situated in a valley in Exmoor National Park, but please note: There is no TV, but there are games, jigsaws and books to keep you amused should you need them. Wifi is provided but it’s probably not fast enough to stream or download programmes/films, but you will be able to check emails and look things up online. There is no mobile phone signal but there is a landline telephone for emergencies and incoming calls. Also, hand towels are provided but please bring your own bath towels.
