Relax in this Riverside Boutique-style Bolthole
Lane End Cottage in Warkworth is a sensitively restored 19th century cottage, located next to the riverbank with river views from most of the windows. An abundance of wildlife can be seen from the cottage or from a seat on the riverbank next to the cottage. Seals at high tide, herons, foxes, swans and ducks, salmon leaping, returning terns and kingfishers can be seen.
Many of our guests take a bottle of wine and glasses and sit on the riverbank just outside the cottage on balmy summer evenings before strolling to one of Warkworth‘s lovely restaurants and pubs for a bite to eat. Beautifully furnished and very well equipped.
Lane End Cottage has not only been awarded a 5 Star rating by Visit England but also a prestigious Gold Award. It sleeps 2 but can also accommodate a cot for an infant if required. Two well behaved dogs are welcome here for a small additional charge of £20 each and a small ‘welcome pack’ is provided for them as well as their owners. Complimentary luxury bathrobes are available for your use at this cottage, upon request and there is also free Wi-fi.
Everything you need for your Northumbrian holiday is within arms-length of Lane End Cottage. The river bank is yards from the front door with the famous ‘Mill Walk’ beginning here. 200 yards up the lane is the main street of Warkworth, where you can find a selection of dog friendly ‘foodie’ pubs, good restaurants, cafes and shops. The huge sandy beach is a further 10 minutes away on foot.
