There is a Shaker style kitchen with gas hob, electric fan oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, slow cooker and microwave oven. The Dining room has french style double doors opening out onto the garden and terrace area at the front of the house - perfect for al-fresco dining.
There is a spacious living room with a feature fireplace with cosy log burning stove, comfy sofas and a 40” LCD TV/DVD with Sky TV including Sky Movies and selection of DVDs. Snug/sitting room off living room with double sofa-bed, TV/DVD, ipod dock, a chromecast and huge range of books, games and jigsaws - ideal for those who just want to chill out away from it all.
The utility area has a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board and supply of cleaning materials etc and there is a downstairs cloakroom.
First Floor Description
There are five bedrooms - three family bedrooms (two with a double and a single bed plus one with a double and set of bunk beds) and two twin bedrooms. There is also a a full sized double sofa-bed* in the living area and a sofa-bed* in Snug/downstairs occasional bedroom 6.
There is a family bathroom with P-shaped bath and over-bath electric power shower and curved glass shower screen, vanity unit and WC.. A shower room with large walk in shower, basin and WC and the downstairs cloakroom with WC and basin.
Windows Views Description
Views from the front windows of the property scan high over Matlock Bath and the River Derwent across to Starkholmes and Riber Castle.
The approach to the cottage is quite narrow and steep - therefore we advise guests to walk the last 100 yards initially to understand the access. If guests don’t wish to drive up the lane then there is plenty of free parking on the road at the bottom of the lane.
