Outside Description

Outside, a trellis separates the large off-road private parking area from the paved garden with shrub borders, table and chairs, all ajoining open countryside.

Downstairs Description

The interior of the cottage is a stylish combination of original stone and beams. The kitchen, dining and sitting room has a painted terracotta floor and coir carpet. Shaker style kitchen units are painted duck-egg blue and there is a comfortable sofa to curl-up on in the front of a woodburner after long country walks. The rest of the Cottage is heated by night storage heaters.

Open-plan stairs with fitted carpet lead up to one double bedroom with sloping ceiling, views across open countryside and a modern en-suite bathroom with shower attachment and W.C.

  • Clun Castle: Clun Castle is dominated today by the great tower, built into the side of the motte. A section of the curtain wall with two flanking, half-round towers also survives, as do the earthworks of the medieval garden, visible in the valley just across the river. Visit website
