Outside Description

Outside the shared lawned area has a picnic table with a sunshade for sunny days when you may wish to dine outside. There is ample car parking immediately outside the cottage. In an adjoining shed there is secure bicycle storage and a supply of logs. Our private tarmac drive is half a mile long and a safe place for children on bicycles and for lovely after dinner ambles.

Downstairs Description

This upside down cottage was created from an old cart shed on our farm. formerly part of the Chatsworth estate. It has a large upstairs sitting room with magnificent exposed beams and a log burning stove. This cottage is ideal for two couples as downstairs there is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom, a twin bedroom and a further bathroom.

Above the front door are the three original massive oak beams. The two delightful bedrooms are accessed from the entrance hall. The master bedroom has light oak furniture, a 5 foot double bed and en-suite bathroom with an over bath shower and heated towel rail. The second bedroom, with twin beds is on the other side of the hall and has the use of the second bathroom, (also with over bath shower) accessed from the hall.

First Floor Description

Upstairs is a stunning spacious sitting room with old oak beams, one wall retains the original exposed stone, giving the room great rural character. There is a log burning stove to keep you warm and comfortable and a plentiful supply of logs is provided. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the cottage, a Sky Freeview TV and DVD player.

The cream painted Kitchen Breakfast Room, off the sitting room, has a Neff electric cooker and ceramic hob, Bosch dishwasher and washer/dryer, large Neff fridge/freezer and a microwave. The dining table seats 4 people.
