In 2000 and 2001, some of the remaining buildings and all of the chimneys were consolidated and the shafts made safe as part of the Tamar Valley Regeneration Project. New paths enable you to walk through the site and view many of the original mining buildings and features. There a parking space close to the cottage.
The Smithy has been converted to create a comfortable, tastefully appointed cottage.
From the living room and bedroom you can enjoy the uninterrupted elevated views of rolling Devon countryside and the meandering River Tamar below. Enjoy your breakfast on the verandah whilst soaking up the morning sun and enjoying the wildlife.

From the bedroom and living room there are beautiful views across The Tamar of the Devon countryside.
The cottages are situated within 16 acres of woodland - access is via an unmade public bridle path which is suitable for most vehicles. The cottage feels quite remote yet is only a short walk from the village of Calstock. WiFi available and limited mobile reception - the best network being EE.
