Hidden River House is available to let a whole house sleeping up to 20 people. (18 + 4)

Alternatively the house sleeps 10 (8+2) in either the west or the east wing. With private hot tubs and stunning views of the valley below it is a perfect option for additional guests staying for a wedding or as group accommodation for a special occasion. The house has been completely refurbished is steeped in history, built in the late 17C. It has been used as an army barracks, a dwelling for Old Mill workers and more recently as a farmhouse. It has been finished to a high standard and all fixtures and fittings have been sourced from quality providers. All appliances are of a high quality too and toiletries, towels, bath robes and specialised teas and coffee all provided on arrival.

Situated 20 minutes from Carlisle, between the Lake District and Scotland, Hidden River Cabins offer an escape from everyday life. The local countryside offers fishing, walking. Carlisle has some great shopping or visit the Blacksmith’s shop at Gretna Green, Carlisle Castle or Hadrian’s Wall. The Lake District is close by for activities such as Go Ape or renting a rowing boat at Derwentwater in Keswick.
