Bleasdale Estate is situated on the western edge of the Forest of Bowland AONB. Just 20 minutes south of Lancaster, the site is located at the end of a private country lane, set amongst the rolling green patchwork of grazing land stitched together by hedgerows, trees and dry stone walls, with the Bowland Fells as a perfect backdrop – a beautiful place at any time of year.
Our site is situated above a private section of the River Brock. Build dams, catch sticklebacks, wander down the sleepy river banks to quiet pools in the dappled shade of the overhanging trees. Or build dens and camps in the wood behind the tents. It's a natural adventure playground for your kids. From the site, there is direct access to the local footpath network, and you can visit the Stone Age circle located 20 minutes' walk from your tent. A little further on and you reach the open access area of the Bowland Fells where you can walk for miles without seeing a car – or even other people. All this without going near a public road.
For the more intrepid, there are the local cycle networks and bridleways. Cycle to the nearby Beacon Fell Country Park, or to the pretty village of Chipping with its pubs, cafes and ice cream shop! If this seems a little hard work, there is a business hiring electric bicycles located on the estate – how idle can you get?!
