An ideal retreat for couples, families, walkers, music lovers and bird watchers. Well behaved dogs and children are welcome. Blythburgh, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just inland from Southwold Dunwich and Walberswick, is close to the RSPB’s Minsmere nature reserve, which was the location for BBC Springwatch.
It is the starting point for numerous walks along the coast or inland along the River Blyth to Wenhaston and Halesworth and is convenient for music lovers attending the Latitude Festival at Henham Hall and the Aldeburgh Festival. The White Hart, just a few minutes walk from the cottage, serves home cooked meals.
Chantry Cottage combines charm and character with comfort and convenience. The lounge has a wood burning stove, and there is a dining room and separate kitchen. We have just installed bespoke wooden windows for added comfort. The two upstairs bedrooms enjoy views over the pretty cottage garden, towards the Church and the Blyth Estuary.
