Yew Trees Cottage is a beautiful Cotswolds Holiday Cottage and is in the village of Weston Subedge, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire. Situated in the beautiful North Cotswolds, surrounded by stunning scenery and charming villages. Yew Trees Cottage is located at the edge of the Cotswold escarpment at the foot of Dovers Hill, 2 miles from Chipping Campden, 2 miles from Willersey, 4 miles from Broadway, 17 miles from Cheltenham and only 11 miles from Stratford upon Avon. Nearby railway stations at Honeybourne, Moreton in Marsh and Evesham conveniently provide direct service to London,Worcester and Oxford.

This cosy country cottage provides surprisingly spacious self catering accommodation for 4 people plus small child. The accommodation has 2 Bedrooms (plus cot room), lounge, eat in kitchen, and a newly renovated bathroom. The private walled cottage garden provides a quiet corner to relax or play.


The light and airy cottage is an ideal base to tour the Cotswolds, and explore the many interesting attractions. The village has a lovely pub that serves local beers and good food. There are also many footpaths and bridleways starting in the village, that lead to great restaurants, pubs and shopping in nearby, Chipping Campden and Broadway and other surrounding villages.

The Lounge area at Yew Trees is light and airy and full of character and charm with its high ceiling and exposed beams. There is comfortable sofa and chairs create the ideal enviroment to relax. A gas log fire provides that extra warmth when needed. From the lounge area, the rear window opens out onto the private walled cottage garden.

Yew Trees Cottage has a light airy eat in kitchen. The high ceilings and sky lights give this cottage kitchen a spacious feel. The antique pine settle, table and benches accomodate 6 people.

There are two bedrooms plus cot room, these are on the ground floor leading from the hallway and are centrally heated. The King Size bedroom is light and airy with its high ceiling and exposed beams, with 1 antique pine wardrobe and bench. Views from the side window overlook Yew Trees and a garden. This main bedroom also has an adjoining small room, that is currently used as a  dressing room / cot room.

A modernised bathroom, with W.C., double shower heads & sink leads off the hall area. It has underfloor heating and heated towel rack A fresh supply of towels are provided upon arrival. A private and secure walled cottage garden to the rear of the cottage provides an ideal private area to enjoy a barbecue, or just to relax on a sunny day.

What you can see from the Lounge and back Windows: has a view into the private enclosed garden, and the front view is of the cotswold stone cottages opposite. The bedrooms have views of gardens.

Child Friendly Cottage: Fully enclosed secure garden, safe for children and dogs alike. A small selection of games, toys and DVDs available. Cot and highchair can be provided

Tourist Attractions: Yew Trees Cottage is perfectly placed for visiting Cotswolds little gem, Broadway, which has a fantastic range of shops, restaurants and pubs and is one the most picturesque of the Cotswold villages with its picture perfect honey-coloured Cotswold stone buildings. Visit Broadway Tower only  a few minutes drive away. The Tower is one of England’s outstanding viewpoints. It is possible to survey an area which includes as many as thirteen counties. And also close at hand is Snowshill Manor. Few places are more historic than the lovely Tudor buildings which make up Snowshill manor. Beautifully built in local Cotswold stone, the existing modest house was built between the 15th century and the 18th Century. Also close by is Mill Dene Garden which is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This romantic garden is set around a lovely mill which is probably Norman. Sited in its own steep sided valley, the garden has hidden paths winding up from the mill-pool and stream at the bottom through the Rose Walk to the Cricket Lawn.

Eating and Drinking: The Seagrave Arms is just round the corner, 50 yrds away, it has been recently refurbished to a high quality and offers a good range of home cooked food and local ales. The menus change with the seasons and will include asparagus from Evesham, Gloucester Old Spot Pork, local Dexter beef and venison plus of course Cotswold lamb. There is plenty of choice for eateries in Chipping Campden but try Michael’s Mediterranean Restaurant Wine and dine in relaxed surroundings with the warm ambience of open fires and a friendly service. They serve the best in Greek food complemented by Mediterranean cuisine. From a delightful array of Mezze dishes, fresh fish and seafood with seasonal daily specials to our renowned “Marathona” Fillet Steaks.

Food Stores: A few miles away in Broadway you really must shop atBudgens which has firmly been established as a community food retailer for over 125 years and is recognised for its excellent fresh food. For a grocery delivery, Tesco in Evesham will deliver for you. The nearest supermarket is Tesco which is located in Evesham which is only 7 miles away.  Why not pre order your grocery orders for delivery for the cottage.

Sporting activities: For Golf lovers there is an excellent Golf Course on the doorstep, Broadway Golf Club one of The Cotswolds finest with exceptional views over the Vale of Evesham, this inland links style golf course provides a challenge for golfers of all abilities.And if you fancy a bit of Clay Pigeon shooting visit Cotswolds Shooting at Murcot, Broadway again only a short drive away.If you fancy a bit of Horse Riding visit Washpool Equestrian Centre. With over 50 horses and ponies to suit any level of ability and challenge, people come from all over the UK and around the world to ride at the centre.  Set in the picturesque village of Stanton at the foot of the Cotswolds escarpment, riders can be up in the hills enjoying magnificent views on many miles of paths and bridleways, with virtually no roadwork.

Things you should know: Cars can pull up outside the property to offload the bags, but as it is on a bend it is best to park the car just up the road.
