The Barn at Popfosters is a stunning Cotswolds cottage located in the village of Weston Subedge and has been passionately converted by it’s owners Adam and Lisa into a unique, cosy and contemporary style listed barn dating back to the mid 1500’s.
Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is ideally located to explore the Cotswolds all year round.
Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon is just a short drive away and to the south, Blenheim Palace at Woodstock is under an hour away. You can easily visitWarwick Castle and Cheltenham Races too.
The beautiful villages of Chipping Campden andBroadway are nearby as well as the market town ofStow on the Wold (famous for its antiques) and National Trust sites such as Hidcote Gardens andSnowshill Manor are a short drive away too.
The Barn offers a living/kitchen area with a beautifully appointed sitting room with sumptious sofas and exposed beams, a log burning fire and Sony TV,DVD & CD player and iPOD charger and the kitchen dining area runs along one wall.
There are two double bedrooms, one in the eaves with a contemporary wood-framed bed and views over the ancient orchard and above the glass-tabled dining room there is another double bedroom, which has a great rooflight views. There is a luxurious shower room
This self contained barn will provide everything you need for a pampered stay in the Cotswolds.
A private south facing patio leads onto a lovely secluded garden and beyond to a meadow usually filled with inquisitive sheep which will bring colour to your stay.
Tourist Attractions: The Barn is perfectly placed for visiting Cotswolds little gem, Broadway, which has a fantastic range of shops, restaurants and pubs and is one the most picturesque of the Cotswold villages with its picture perfect honey-coloured Cotswold stone buildings. Visit Broadway Tower only a few minutes drive away. The Tower is one of England’s outstanding viewpoints. It is possible to survey an area which includes as many as thirteen counties. And also close at hand is Snowshill Manor. Few places are more historic than the lovely Tudor buildings which make up Snowshill manor. Beautifully built in local Cotswold stone, the existing modest house was built between the 15th century and the 18th Century. Also close by is Mill Dene Garden which is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This romantic garden is set around a lovely mill which is probably Norman. Sited in its own steep sided valley, the garden has hidden paths winding up from the mill-pool and stream at the bottom through the Rose Walk to the Cricket Lawn.

Eating and Drinking: The Seagrave Arms which is just a short walk away, it has been recently refurbished to a high quality and offers a good range of home cooked food and local ales. The menus change with the seasons and will include asparagus from Evesham, Gloucester Old Spot Pork, local Dexter beef and venison plus of course Cotswold lamb. There is plenty of choice for eateries in Chipping Campden but tryMichael’s Mediterranean Restaurant Wine and dine in relaxed surroundings with the warm ambience of open fires and a friendly service. They serve the best in Greek food complemented by Mediterranean cuisine. From a delightful array of Mezze dishes, fresh fish and seafood with seasonal daily specials to our renowned “Marathona” Fillet Steaks.
Food Stores: A few miles away in Broadway you really must shop at Budgens which has firmly been established as a community food retailer for over 125 years and is recognised for its excellent fresh food. For a grocery delivery, Tesco in Evesham will deliver for you.The nearest supermarket is Tesco which is located in Evesham which is only 7 miles away. Why not pre order your grocery orders for delivery for the cottage.
Sporting activities: For Golf lovers there is an excellent Golf Course on the doorstep,Broadway Golf Club one of The Cotswolds finest with exceptional views over the Vale of Evesham, this inland links style golf course provides a challenge for golfers of all abilities.And if you fancy a bit of Clay Pigeon shooting visit Cotswolds Shooting at Murcot, Broadway again only a short drive away.If you fancy a bit of Horse Riding visit Washpool Equestrian Centre. With over 50 horses and ponies to suit any level of ability and challenge, people come from all over the UK and around the world to ride at the centre. Set in the picturesque village of Stanton at the foot of the Cotswolds escarpment, riders can be up in the hills enjoying magnificent views on many miles of paths and bridleways, with virtually no roadwork.
