And also close at hand is Snowshill Manor. Few places are more historic than the lovely Tudor buildings which make up Snowshill manor. Beautifully built in local Cotswold stone, the existing modest house was built between the 15th century and the 18th Century. Also close by is Mill Dene Garden which is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This romantic garden is set around a lovely mill which is probably Norman. Sited in its own steep sided valley, the garden has hidden paths winding up from the mill-pool and stream at the bottom through the Rose Walk to the Cricket Lawn.
