Honeysuckle Cottage, a Cotswolds Luxury Holiday Cottage is located in the pretty village of Oddington. There are many enchanting villages in The Cotswolds which can only be described as typical quintessence of English rural life and Oddington is no exception as it still holds the charm of a typical 11th century Cotswolds Village.
A traditional English village was usually made up of a small settlement that had a parish church, a school and a shop or two with one usually including a post office. There would have been at least two pubs serving various the locals and usually a manor house that was set in it’s own grounds and usually referred to as ‘the great house’.
Oddington still offers the charm of a traditional village with its historical Church of St. Nicholas which date back to the 12th century, two pubs, The Fox and The Horse and Groom and a Manor House which originally dates back to the 12th Century. During the 13th century the Manor House was one of the archbishop of York residences and King Henry III often stopped there when traveling between Woodstock and Evesham.
Blue Lagoon offers another beautifully appointed Cottage which is situated next to Earby House and is located at the top of Church Lane and only a few minute walk from the historical Church of St Nicholas.
Honeysuckle Cottage is a picture postcard cottage and its accommodation is spread over 3 floors. To the front of the property is an aery and bright sitting room which has a feature stone fireplace, wood burner stove and stone hearth with pretty window looking over onto the south facing garden which enjoys sun virtually all day and offers garden furniture and a barbecue.
Just off the lounge is a well appointed kitchen and dining area with granite work surfaces, oven with a 4 ring hob and extractor fan, Washer/Drier, Dishwasher, fridge and freezer compartment. Its a great place for family meals and friends to catch up after a busy day touring the Cotswolds while the party cook prepares meals to be served at a large dinning table which seats 6.
From the lounge stairs rise to the first floor landing leading to 2 spacious bedrooms which have beautiful crisp cotton bed linen and have been accessorized with Laura Ashley fabrics and The White Company accessories. The upstairs contains many of its original features with white painted ledge and brace doors with iron latches. The first bedrooms is light and airy and has delightful window overlooking the pretty front garden with far reaching views of the Cotswolds countryside and the 2nd delightful cottage style bedroom offers a double bed and newly fitted en-suite shower room.
Another door from the landing leads to a newly appointed family bathroom comprising bath with mix taps and spray attachments, washbasin and toilet.
A further set of stairs leads to the second floor and the third bedroom can be found offering two single beds and window to the front garden with far reaching views.
The pretty garden provided a perfect haven for relaxing and an opportunity for al-fresco dining with garden table and chairs and a Barbecue.

Honeysuckle Cottage can be booked with Earby House which is next door to create sleeping capacity of 14.
Tourist Attractions: Honeysuckle Cottage is perfectly placed for visiting many key tourist attractions including the stunning cotswolds villages of The Slaughters and Bourton-on- the Water which also offers the Birdland Park, Railway Exhibition and Toy Shop and Cotswolds Motor Museum which is overflowing with vintage and classic cars and caravans, precarious looking motorcycles, original enamel signs and an intriguing collection of motoring curiosities, it is a genuinely captivating experience for all the family. Another popular Cotswolds town to visit is Burford with its excellent selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and close by you can visit Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens and encounter Anteaters, peer at Giraffes, roar at the Lions or waddle like a Penguin, in over 160 acres of beautiful parklands. One of the most famous Cotswolds villages and a little gem is Broadway, which has a fantastic range of shops, restaurants and pubs and of the most picturesque of the Cotswold villages with its picture perfect honey-coloured Cotswold stone buildings. Also close by is Mill Dene Garden which is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This romantic garden is set around a lovely mill which is probably Norman. Sited in its own steep sided valley, the garden has hidden paths winding up from the mill-pool and stream at the bottom through the Rose Walk to the Cricket Lawn.

Naunton Downs Golf Club which offers 18 holes and is 8 miles away and 13 miles away you will find Burford Golf Club a renowned 18 hole golf course. And if you fancy a bit of Clay Pigeon shooting visit Cotswolds Shooting at Murcot, Broadway is 16 miles away.
