Gingell Cottage offers contemporary Suffolk Self Catering accommodation and is a professionally designed, brand new, detached, self contained cottages on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds take their theme from 5* USA Suite style accommodation that is delighting our guests. All rooms are deluxe en-suite and have the use of the kitchen and living facilities to offer you flexible living, sleeping and eating.

Urban chic in a rural peaceful location blends two lovely styles that is perfect for business trips, weekend breaks or a holiday get away.

The cottage facilities include dishwasher, shaver point, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, microwave, oven, all crockery, cutlery, kitchen items, deluxe towels and Egyptian cotton linen duck down pillows and duvets (anti allergy available upon request) Freeview TV in all rooms and living areas. Daily Housekeeping is standard. Continental breakfast included in the price. Traditional breakfast ingredients are also available sourced from local farms.

The accommodation offers a light and open living area which has been completed to the highest standard in 2010, including deep, comfortable sofas.

The light streams through six windows making this space very light and airy. For many months of the year it is drenched in sunlight.

Leather seated chairs and pine table is the perfect place to dine. Surrounded by tall windows you really do feel that the outside comes inside. In the summer there is outdoor BBQ and furniture to offer the alfresco dining option.

The kitchen area is complete with modern appliances, including a 12 place setting dishwasher (not in the Superking suite), and is bright, clean and practical.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate laundry room.
This versatile room is split into three, with a view over the pond from the bedroom. There is a large wetroom with heated towel rail and walk in wardrobe and store for suitcases etc.

The bed is fully sprung with a duck-down duvet covered in egyptian cotton for a comfortable, luxurious, perfect night’s sleep. The TV/DVD is positioned on the wall at the end of the bed.

The custom-made bed is a modern touch and the room has an extra bed for flexibility, so comfortably sleeps three. It overlooks the horse paddocks and has far-reaching views over the suffolk countryside. The en suite is large and is home to a large powershower toilet and sink.

This spacious and private space occupies virtually the whole first floor. The image alongside shows the area from the beds throught to the ensuite.

Cottage guests have full use of the 5 acre mature grounds with Koi Carp pond and fountain, swings and slides, trampoline, zip wire and football nets.

Tourist Attractions:Ickworth House Park and Gardens is a fantastic country estate in Suffolk. 1800 acres of parkland and woodland surrounding the eccentric Italianate mansion. Great family events, an adventure playground and children’s trails and games make this a great day out. Kentwell Hall. A beautiful moated Tudor Mansion, with extensive moated gardens and rare breeds farm. Famous for award winning Special Events from its Tudor Time Travel experience to its ultra scary Halloween Event, Sacresville - the site for a fright.

Hedingham Castle There are four magnificent floors to explore and the grounds are well worth a wander through too! Pick an event day and perhaps enjoy one of their exciting Jousting Tournaments!

Eating and Drinking: The Fox and Hound at Thurston. The home of real ale and serving good home cooked food from a varied menu. Or try The Grange Hotel at Thurston offering 2 restaurants which serve innovative interpretations of classic English dishes and the more elaborate French classics, a Lounge bar opening onto the terrace and gardens.

Food store: There is a local village store in Thurston and the nearest supermarket is Waitrose at Bury St Edminds 7 miles away, so why not pre order your grocery delivery ready for your arrival at the Cottage.

Sports and Activities: East Anglia really is England’s cycling country, thanks to its geographical suitability and beautiful scenery. St Edmundsbury offers particular attractions, with a combination of rural roads, open countryside and parkland to tempt any leisure cyclist.

Barrow Hall Stables offers Riding tuition from the age of 5 years. Set in beautiful Suffolk countryside, Barrow Hall Stables offers riding and stable management lessons for adults & children of all abilities from the age of 4 years old. They are approved by the British Horse Societyand are also home to West Suffolk Riding for the Disabled, and St Edmundsbury RDA Group.

For a round of golf visit Bury St Edmunds Golf Club who offer a 18-hole course, set in 150 gently rolling acres of easy walking, with most holes flanked by magnificent mature woodland. The club also has a nine-hole pay-and-play course, with both renowned for outstanding year-round condition.
