Church House Farm Shropshire Holiday Cottages presents two recently converted luxurious Grade 11 listed barn conversions situated in a wonderful setting with wonderful views over the beauti ful countryside of South Shropshire nestling in the shadows of the breathtaking Clee Hills

Situated approximately 40 minutes drive from the M5 yet only 11 miles from Ludlow, 4 miles from the market towns of  Cleobury Mortimer and Tenbury Wells, the cottages are conveniently located for exploring this stunning area.

No longer a working farm but still amidst a farming community, the cottages adjoin the owners half- timbered farmhouse overlooking from the front the historic church in the sleepy picturesque hamlet of Milson.

Oak Barn which is named after the magnificent oak tree within our grounds, Oak Barn is a very luxurious and spacious 2 storey, 3 bedroom brick built self catering cottage with upside down accommodation.

On the ground floor is an impressive flagstone entrance leading through a large glazed screen to the flagstone Hall with seating area taking in views of the gardens and Church beyond. A large double Bedroom with antique brass and cast iron double bed has en-suite shower room with power shower (also accessible from Hall). A further bathroom is available for those who wish to soak and unwind in a bath!

Bedroom 2 is a double with antique carved oak bedroom suite and picture window taking in the delightful rural views.

Upstairs is a magnificent open plan sitting room/diner/fitted kitchen with every conceivable modern appliance including built-in cooker, state of the art hob, microwave, fridge, separate freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and even wine chiller! A full length glazed roof window makes the most of the tremendous views when you laze on the sumptious sofas! All crockery and kitchen utensils etc are included.

Bedroom 3 is also on this floor and comes with antique twin beds and en-suite cloakroom/w.c.
On this level are fabulous original exposed beams but taller visitors should take care!

Group Getaway: Church House Farm Cottages can provide excellent large accommodation for family celebrations or reunion and can sleep up to 8 people Oak Barn and The Granary.

Tourist Attractions: Church House Farm self catering holiday cottages are a five minute drive from the small market towns of Cleobury Mortimer and Tenbury Wells and are within easy reach of Kidderminster, Worcester, Bridgnorth and the historic town of Ludlow. There is so much to do and explore in Shropshire and the neighbouring counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Ironbrige spanning the River Severn it takes its name from the world`s first iron bridge, built in 1779 by Abraham Darby 111 and forms the centrepiece of ten museum sites. Step back in time and explore the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Visit Blists Hill Victorian Town, the reconstruction of an industrial town, or The Coalport china Museum. Seven Valley Railway is one of Britain`s leading steam railways running through 16 miles of glorious Shropshire/Worcestershire scenery along the River Severn from Kidderminster and Bewdley to Bridgnorth. Special events are run from time to time, ranging from Thomas the Tank Engine to a Wizard Weekend.

Sporting Activities: Church House Farm Barns are located in fabulous walking country with numerous footpaths and trails across Shropshire, including the tremendous Clee Hills, the highest points of Shropshire, approximately four miles distance from where several counties can be seen on a clear day. South Shropshire has many country lanes, bridleways and tracks cyclists can use for those feeling energetic! Bikes can be hired locally from several companies. Have a round of Golf at Ludlow Golf Club which was founded in 1889 and the course retains many of its original features with much of the course comparatively unchanged from that of 1889. The oldest course in the county union of Shropshire and Herefordshire. Visitors are very welcome to play the course, which is fairly flat and easy on the body.

Drinking and Eating:Close by is The Crown at Hopton Wafers, was originally a 16th Century Coaching Inn and relax in the Rent Room’ Restaurant just off the bar, offering traditional pine kitchen style seating with relaxing views of Shropshire. Serving daily menus, lite bites and specials. OrPoachers Restaurant which is full of character and atmosphere with exposed beams, stonework and large inglenook fireplace, the Crown at Hopton’s main restaurant is beautifully decorated and furnished to provide a perfect setting for a fine dining experience. Or try The Blount Arms in Forrest Park which is situated on the East side of Cleobury Mortimer and is a traditional family run pub with restaurant.

Foodstore: There is a Spa Shop in Cleobury Mortimer and the nearest large supermakret is Tesco in Ludlow which is 10 miles away, so why not pre order your grocery orders for delivery for the cottage.
