Overview

Panteidal Farm and Gatehouse offers Large Group Accommodation in a stunning location and nestles in a picturesque wooded valley overlooking the Dovey estuary just half a mile from ‘The Old Stables’ apartments .

The property consists of the main detached farmhouse of character and a detached stone gatehouse, either of which you can rent seperately or jointly, the farm, has been refurbished to provide 5 star quality accommodation , having three reception rooms and three three bedrooms, all well appointed and with en suite facilities, the main living room has a beamed ceiling and huge inglenook fireplace, the beamed dining room connects to a large drawing room .Off the drawing room is a conservatory overlooking the well established garden.The kitchen is siuated at the rear of the property and enjoys a south westerly aspect overlooking a sub tropical garden and views of the estuary. 
A welsh oak starcase leads to the first floor incorporating three double bedrooms with ensuite facilities, each bathroom having a bath with shower above.

The Gatehouse is a seperate building at the entrance to the grounds,a short distance from the farmhouse, it has a large lounge and dining area, luxury fitted kitchen and has two bedrooms. The farm and gatehouse are set within 4 acres of grounds, containing well established gardens with tropical plants and private woodland, giving plenty of opportunities for woodland walks and simply admiring the lovely natural surrounds and the views over the estuary. The properties can be rented seperately or both together in which case they can accomodate up to 12 guests.Please note that although the farm private garden is very secure and child and dog ‘safe’..the garden shared with the gatehouse has two ornamental ponds where children must be supervised.

Panteidal Farm provides the ideal retreat to get away from it all but it also provides the perfect base for the full range of outdoor activities available locally. In addition to the beach and water sport activities, such as sailing, yachting, rowing, canoeing and fishing, there is a championship golf course in Aberdovey and all manner of inland activities such as walking, hiking, cycling and climbing and many more associated with Snowdonia National Park.

Dog Welcome Accommodation: Penteidal Farm is ideal accommodation for dog lovers as the location is ideal for dog walking and exploring the countryside.

What you can see from the windows: Views of the landscaped gardens and ponds from bedroom and lounge of farm and views of the Estuary from Kitchen and Roof Terrace.

Tourist Attractions: The Talyllyn Railway which starts in Tywyn is definitely one not to be missed. In the unlikely event of the sun not shining, there are also many indoor attractions within easy reach. The following are just a few of the many things to do and places to visit, in and arround Aberdovey. Five miles away is The Animalarium at Borth, a collection of exotic, unusual and interesting animals to amuse and delight you. Most of our animals have come from Pet Rescue Centres, RSPCA, other zoos, pet shops, or were unwanted or abandoned pets. Also Centre for Alternative Technology. A ‘Must Do’ for anyone who is interested in looking at ways to reduce their environmental footprint. Started in 1973 this is no faddy group, but Europe’s leading eco-centre.

Eating and Drinking: Situated in Aberdovey only 2.5 miles away is Penhelig Arms. With its convivial atmosphere the restaurant has been warmly commended by leading guides for the use of fine ingredients, original cooking and commitment to the use of fresh local produce Riverside Hotel in Pennal which is 2.5 miles away.Restaurant dining, luncheon and Sunday lunch and bar meals are available at the Riverside Hotel in Powys. All food is freshly prepared on the premises by our team of chefs who only use the best quality meat, fish and vegetables.

Foodstore: here is a local Londis in Aberdovey. There is also a Copp stores in Machynlleth which is 8 miles away or Tywyn which is 7 miles away and the nearest large supermarket is Morrisons in Aberystwyth which is 25 miles away.

Sporting Activities: Golf fans will love Aberdovey Golf Course. ’Top 100 Golf Courses of the British Isles’. An enchanting but unforgiving links course with a strong pedigree and history. There are another 5 courses nearby. There is Clay Pigeon Shooting at Dovey Valley Shooting Ground is set in its own wooded valley near the coast in Central Wales.  The shooting ground features a large sporting layout with over 100 different stands offering targets to suit everyone from a complete beginner to the most experienced clay shooter. For some sea sports there is Kite Surf Wales which offer individual or group tuition in all aspects of kite-powered activities. From basic power-kite flying through to kite buggying, kite mountain-boarding and kite surfing. Aberdovey is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. The estuary is ideal for sailing, canoeing, sailboarding and water-skiing. The coastline up to Tywyn is popular with surfers and kite-surfers. The coastline in Cardigan Bay has some lovely ports for those into yachting. Aberdovey has good facilities for yachts with moorings and quayside berths.
