Walnut Cottage is located between the villages of Burnham Market and Stanhoe in the small hamlet of Muckleton. A short distance from some beautiful beaches and bird watching areas, Walnut Cottage is ideally tucked away on a working arable farm.

There is a cosy sitting room with comfortable leather sofas either side of a large beamed fireplace housing an electric style ‘wood burner’ for quick and easy use. This room overlooks the horse paddocks and has TV/Video/DVD/HiFi.

There is an oak style fitted kitchen with all mod cons. Washing machine, tumble drier, fridge/freezer and ceramic electric cooker/oven, dishwasher and microwave and the dining area seats 6.

There is a downstairs bath, shower and WC.

The main bedroom has a pine double bed with fitted cupboards overlooking the pasture and has en-suite shower and WC.

Bedroom 2 has a pine double bed, dressing table and fitted cupboard and bedroom 3 a single bed with pine chest of drawers and bedside cabinet.
All night storage heaters are fitted throughout.

Tourist Attractions: Close by is Titchwell Marsh Nature Reserve. Thousands of migrating birds pass through Titchwell in spring and autumn, and many spend winter here, giving you an unrivalled opportunity to see many species of ducks, waders, seabirds and geese.Or visit Norfolk Lavender Limited and see many varieties of lavender and a large miscellany of herbs. Hear about the harvest and the ancient process of lavender distillation. Bircham Windmill has been fully restored. Visitors can climb to the very top and see all the machinery in the Windmill Museum. Adjoining the mill is the original bakery which we still use today.

Eating and Drinking: The White Horse Inn in Brancaster Staithe. The conservatory restaurant with sun deck terrace and adjoining dining area give spectacular views overlooking the Norfolk Coastal Path and the tidal marsh beyond to Scolt Head Island and is a great place to eat local seafood and seasonal produce. Sports and Activities: For a round of Golf visit Royal West Norfolk Golf Club at Brancaster which is an outstanding links course set on the North Norfolk coast. Visitors are welcome, although numbers are strictly limited. This, together with the fact that only two-balls are allowed, keeps the speed of play up, with most rounds being completed in three hours.
