A deceptively spacious cottage created out of a former dairy and apple store. The Appleloft is attached to the rear of The Cottage and The Farmhouse and has a first floor open-plan living area with vaulted ceilings and open coal fire, kitchen and dining area, looking out across open countryside and The Courtyard.

Child Friendly: The Play Barn has been cleverly designed for all ages, at one end of the L-shaped barn under-5s have their own space well equipped with toys, play equipment, games and puzzles. At a safe distance, older children and teenagers can compete at table tennis, table football and pool. There are comfy sofas for parents to relax, read and chat. Bi-fold doors open on to the grassed outdoor play area with swings and slide, football pitch, cricket, outdoor play equipment and mini putting green. Our Play Barn has family toilets, with adult and child’s toilet, baby changing unit and separate disabled toilet.

Tourist Attractions: Within four miles of Lower Wood Farm you can visit  the Famous lifeboat station at Caister on Sea. The visitor Centre which explains in pictures and words the story of the Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service from way back in the days of the Famous Norfolk Coast Beach Companys. Look down into our first motorised Lifeboat ,the Shirley Jean Ayde and read of the exploits  of crews past and present. Or view Caister Castle and car museum, the home to the largest private collection of motor vehicles in Britain which is housed in a purpose built museum and includes many fine and rare veteran, vintage, classic, sports and touring automobiles and motorcycles.. Enjoy time at Thrigby Wildlife Park near Great Yarmouth has a 250-year-old landscaped garden, a play area and a wide selection of Asian mammals, birds and reptiles including tigers, crocodiles and storks.

Travel inland from the port of Great Yarmouth, you will find mile after mile of slow winding rivers and the unspoiled waterways of the Broads. The Rivers Yare, Bure and Waveney are just the start of the Broads National Park, a huge network of rivers, lakes and man-made waterways stretching for 125 miles over parts of Norfolk and into Suffolk

Eating and Drinking:Five miles away is The Bridge Inn at Acle bridge by the river. a popular pub and restaurant, open seven days a week and perfect for visitors arriving by boat due to its free moorings. This family-friendly, family-run restaurant on the Broads will offer you a warm welcome, great value for money and a high standard of dining. Also close by is The Waterside at  Rollesby which is 3 miles away. During the day The Waterside café and tearooms serves a tempting range of homemade cakes and scones, pastries, ice-creams, lunches and traditional afternoon teas and in the evening it serves contemporary British cuisine with a hint of fine dining.

The Ingam Swan at Ingham is 10 miles away and serve sModern British cuisine dedicated to seasonality using the finest produce from independent local suppliers where possible is the key to producing dishes such as Cromer Crab and Feta Salad with Avocado Puree

Sports and Activities: Broads Tours operates a fleet of double-decker passenger boats on the Broads, Britain’s magical waterland. All tours include a live commentary; the skipper will explain the origins of the Broads.
