The Hayloft at Frith Farm House

The Hayloft Barn, circa 1600, is an ideal Kent Holiday Cottage and is situated in a corner of our garden and Cherry Orchards that extend to some 8 acres and has fabulous Heated Indoor Pool. Frith Farm House is part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Hayloft has been converted to a high standard offering two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is a double with en suite shower room. The other, downstairs, has twin beds and an adjacent bathroom. Bedding and towels are included.
The open plan kitchen and dining area includes electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, kettle etc. All the essentials are present - no need to bring your own Champagne flutes, Cafetiere or Pepper Mill!
The spacious first floor lounge has the additional benefits of a large wall mounted flat screen TV with Free Sat, DVD, a Bose radio and CD player and a wi-fi connection. There is also a sprung double bed settee which makes the maximum occupation 6. A child stair gate can be supplied as can a travel cot and highchair.
The Hayloft has its own Gas BBQ and sitting area where you can just sit in the sun or shade, eat al fresco and relax.
The grounds at Frith Farm House extend to some 8 acres of formal gardens and Cherry Orchard with far reaching views over the Downs to the sea. All of the cottages enjoy space to sit and eat outside with gas BBQ’s situated in various parts of the gardens for your use.
The indoor heated pool is just perfect for those who enjoy swimming with each cottage enjoying two private swimming sessions each day and overlooking the beautiful gardens.Guests enjoy exclusive private use at designated times each day and there is Hot tub access (upon request)
Group Getaway: Frith Farm House has four lovely holiday cottage including two smaller Cottages which sleep 4 and Damson Cottage can be booked together to accommodation 24 people.
Tourist Attractions: Close by is Canterbury Cathedral. Pilgrims and visitors have made their way to Canterbury Cathedral since the Middle Ages. It remains one of the most visited places in the country, and, just as important, a living community. Visitors have always been made welcome, in the ancient tradition of Benedictine hospitality. Dover Castle is also well worth a visit. Spectacularly situated above the White Cliffs of Dover this magnificent castle has guarded our shores from invasion for 20 centuries - now you can enjoy a great family day out with a visit to the ‘Key to England’. Also visit Leeds CastleBring the whole family to Leeds Castle with your Key to the Castle ticket and journey through 900 years of captivating history. Open all year round, there is something for everyone to enjoy. And Howletts Zoo a 90 acre adventure in beautiful ancient parkland in Kent that’s an ideal day out for the entire family.
Eating and Drinking: A five minute drive away is The Plough at Stalisfield Green, a real country pub serving real pub food and a wide range of local drinks including Kentish beer, cider, wine & juices. English pub dishes like sausages and mash and using rare-breed pork from local Snoad Farm flavoured with local & seasonal ingredients. The menu changes frequently to reflect the vast array of produce available to us throughout the changing seasons. And a 15 minute drive away try Read’s Restaurant at Faversham. The restaurant’s widespread reputation is founded on the distinctive cooking of Michelin-starred David Pitchford, whose seasonal dishes blend herbs and vegetables from the manor’s own walled kitchen garden with local game and fish fresh from the quayside at nearby Whitstable and Hythe.

Sporting Activities: For Golf lovers visit Canterbury Golf Club, a 18 hole course, driving range and academy for coaching. The Club offers an exceptional range of services to its’ members and visitors alike. There is Horse Riding at At Bursted Manor Stables, who have a large floodlit Indoor Arena 20m x 40m and large floodlit Outdoor Arena 20m x 60m and with suitable hacks and bridleways around the beautiful farming countryside and is well placed to offer a suitable Instructor lead or supervise. Explore the city of Canterbury and hire a bike from Canterbury Cycle Hire. Daily or weekly hire of bicycles, tandems, tag-alongs and child-trailers, for recreational cyclists, families, tourists and student groups, exploring the historic City of Canterbury.
