Enjoy A Luxury Self-Catering Cottage Holiday at Ringehay Farm Holiday Cottages in the Peak District. The Barn is a luxury self-catering holiday cottage near Leek, close to the Staffordshire / Derbyshire border, that is ideal for a family holiday in the Peak District. With flagstone floors and under-floor heating throughout the ground floor, exposed pine floorboards upstairs, and fabulous views over the pond and countryside, it offers superb holiday home accommodation for a family or small group. With one ground-floor bedroom and a ground-floor wet room, it is accessible to wheelchairs and persons with limited mobility.

The Barn has a kitchen with dining area and a dining room with table seating up to ten persons and double French doors out to garden. There is a spacious lounge with 42 inch plasma television with Freeview, DVD and games console with games.

On the ground floor there is also a Wheelchair accessible wet room and a double or twin bedroom with countryside views. The twin zip-link beds can be joined to make a super-king-size bed. They can also be moved to accommodate either left or right side wheelchair access. On the first floor there are two airy, king-size bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Child Friendly : Ringehay Cottages provide baby and child friendly extras (sterilizer, bath, cots , high chairs, stair gates, toys) at no extra charge.

Dogs Welcome Cottage: Up to 2 dogs per property welcome, for additional charge.

Group Getaway: Both cottages, THe Dairy and The Barn, can be booked as one unit with interconnecting doors to sleep up to 10 +cots.

Disabled Access: Ground floor bedroom and wet room. We can provide threshold ramp and shower chair. Double door access and flagstone floor throughout ground floor help facilitate wheelchair access. Full access statement on our website.

What you can see from the Windows: From the dining room and downstairs bedroom there are views over surrounding countryside. From the kitchen, lounge and upstairs rooms over look the courtyard and garden pond.

Tourist Attractions: Dovedale is a dramatic limestone ravine, famous for its stunning scenery, wildlife and the much-loved stepping stones which cross the River Dove. Spend a day or two at Rudyard Lake which lies in a fold in thickly wooded hillsides, Rudyard Lake is a haven of peace and tranquility and offers many sporting activitie. Alton Towers is also within easy reach of the Barn Escape to the fantabulous world of this exciting theme park - there’s so much going on, the fun never stops!

Sporting Activities: Manifold Cycle Track is within one mile of the holiday cottage. From Hulme End the track passes Ecton and then on to Wetton Mill. It then passes beneath Thor’s Cave and on almost to Beeston, before turning up the Hamps valley and uphill steadily to Waterhouses. It’s a very enjoyable cycle ride with superb views which is not too strenuous. At Rudyard Lake you can participate in Angling and day tickets are available. Canoes and Rowing boats can be hired mainly during the summer. For a spot of Golf try Buxton & High Peak Golf Club and whatever your standard of golf, you are sure to have an enjoyable round at one of Derbyshires oldest golf clubs.

Drinking and Eating: The Boat Inn, is in Cheddleton and is 2.4 miles by road, or less on foot across our fields. A picturesque pub that speaks of a tradition of hospitality going back many years. It also has a charming setting, with a wooded area to the rear that frames it perfectly. Food is served in the 20 seat restaurant, in the bar, or in the summer months, outside in the beer garden. You can choose from a wide and varied menu. The dishes are all beautifully cooked on the premises, with the speciality of the house being juicy steaks with all the trimmings. Or try the Holly Bush at Denford Set in four acres of land, it was actually a cornmill before it became a pub. Try the speciality of the house, home made beef and ale pie, or a dish that is famous in the area - the Hollybush grill
