A Hidden Gem Nestled on the Outskirts of Warkworth Village New To Our Collection
Bramble Cottage is a beautifully renovated, luxury cottage on the outskirts of historic Warkworth Village – a perfect romantic retreat for couples. Ideally located for exploring both the coast and countryside of Northumberland, it has all the amenities of a picturesque village, and a huge sandy beach only a short drive away. Magnificent Warkworth Castle stands proudly at the top of the village and provides spectacular views over the River Coquet and Northumbrian countryside from the top of the cross-shaped keep. Nearby, on the beautiful riverside are the remains of an intriguing chapel known as The Hermitage, which is carved out of the cliff rock and only accessible by rowing boat, skippered by an English Heritage rower.
Alongside the abundance of history surrounding Bramble Cottage, there are also several good pubs serving food in Warkworth and some interesting little shops including the renowned Fenwick Art Gallery, ‘Cabosse’, a French patisserie, a coffee shop, jewellery and gift shops and a well-stocked village store. Around 3 miles away in the friendly fishing port of Amble, are several good restaurants including the award-winning and very popular fish restaurant ‘The Old Boat House’, another renowned fish restaurant, Jaspers, an Italian restaurant ‘La Famiglia’ and an Indian restaurant ‘Taj Mahal’.
