It’s hard to beat Gamekeeper’s Cottage for location. There may be little here on the map, but trace a line in any direction and you’ll find so much to see and do you’ll wonder how you’ll ever manage to fit any of it in! Off the beaten track in the little village of Pentir, Gamekeeper’s Cottage is within easy reach of Llanberis, “Gateway to Snowdon” and a whole host of attractions including a hydro-electric power station visitor centre, a wonderful slate museum and a lakeside railway (as well as the more famous Snowdon Mountain Railway that chugs all the way up to the 3,560ft summit in season). You’re also just 15 minutes from the bridges that link the mainland to the Isle of Anglesey, meaning you can explore the island’s wonderful 125-mile coastline from here, too. Want more? Then there’s Caernarfon and it’s grand castle nearby, and beyond the roads leading down onto the wild and mystical Llyn Peninsula. The best of North Wales is all within reach from Gamekeeper’s Cottage!
The cottage itself is ideal in all seasons, with comfy settees set around a warming winter fire, and a conservatory and lovely private garden for those long, sunny summer days. There is a small pub/restaurant within one mile too, so you don’t need to eat in every night!
